Meet "The Band"

Chase Aitch

Hi, my name's Chase and I'm the drummer of "The Funky Waves".

I am a musician from a musical family spanning back at least 3 generations. My first instrument has always been the drums but I also sing and play bass and guitar for other side projects. Other projects of mine can be found on my own website:

www.chaseaitchmusic.co.uk

I started drumming from a very young age and did my very first live gig at the age of 14 and have never looked back.

Musical influences:  I would say that I originally became gripped on playing drums after being introduced to LP's of "The Police" and Stewart Copeland ("The Police" drummer) has always been a huge influence with my drumming style.

Jessica Fleur

You can take the girl out of Norfolk but you can't take the Norfolk out of the girl!

I'm Jess, 26, crazy cat lady, living the South London dream.

I have been singing since the age of 16 where I started in musical theater when I played Maria in "The sound of Music".

Musical influences:  I grew up listening to 70's Disco music heavily influenced by my parents. Even though I have an eclectic taste in music my true love lies with Disco & Soul music.

Favourite Quote:  "Who runs the world, girls!" - Beyoncé

Joe Ramos

After years playing all over the Algarve (where I was born) with different bands and duos I decided it was time for a new challenge and in 2012 I came to London and it’s been an adventure ever since then.

Though I’ve always thought of myself as a guitarist, singing has always been a passion of mine and I personally think both together are the ultimate soul of expression.

Musical influences:  My influences vary from all different types of music and I naturally became a very eclectic musician (my likes go from pop to rock, jazz to blues, folk to reggae) but I would describe myself as a very rhythmical and passionate player putting all my heart and soul in the songs I perform.
Music is my passion!

Favourite Quote:  "A world without music would B Flat" - Unkown

Martin C. Kirk

Hi my name is Martin. I am a London based musician and have been playing bass guitar in professional bands for over 20 years. As well as playing all over the UK I have gigged at functions as far as Italy and Spain. I have also performed with Roger Taylor from Queen and supported Cliff Richard at a charity function.

Musical influences:  My music influences are wide and varied but my main musical inspirations are mostly funk and soul particularly the bassists James Jamerson (The funk brothers) and Francis Rocco Prestia (Tower of Power). I also play tenor saxophone and guitar when not funking on the bass.

Favourite Quote:  "Guitar is for the head, drums are for the chest, but bass gets you in the groin"  - Suzi Quatro
