A little info about my drumming history...

Coming from a musical family spanning back at least 3 generations, one Instrument that has stayed prominent within my family tree is the Drum Kit.

From a grandfather who played jazz & swing all of his life in big-bands, to an uncle who performed in pop and Jazz bands on cruise ships traveling the world from the 1960's on-wards. I too have gained the "drumming bug" and started learning to play at the age of 13.

At the age of 14 I performed my first ever live gig in a social nightclub and from that moment I have never stopped playing!

Since I first began playing drums, I have now become quite versatile as a drummer and pride myself on my abilities with great listening skills, a vast vocabulary of fills and an array of musical styles that I proudly feel competent to play.

Over the years that I have been playing I have also had many private lessons in the professional teachings of tutors such as Ralph Rolle (Drummer for CHIC & Nile Rodgers) as well as Bob Armstrong (the UK's number 1 Drum tutor up until his passing in 2017).
These lessons have really helped me by honing my skills and improving my technique and overall playing ability.

I have also had some luck throughout my musical career playing alongside very talented people such as the great Brian Bath & Del Palmer (original Kate Bush band musicians), Rob Davis (Founder of the successful glam rock band "Mud" - and also international song writer for artists such as Sophie Ellis Bexter and Kylie Minogue), John Baker (original keyboard player of the Troggs & Wild Angels).

I believe that the experience gained has truly improved my game as a musician and a drummer/performer!

Over time, I started adding backing & lead vocals to the mix whilst drumming and since singing professionally solo (from 2009 onwards),  I am now fully capable of giving powerful backing vocal harmonies whilst playing.

I have had many musical influences over the years but a few of my favourite influences  from international Pro-Drummers are:

Stewart Copeland - "The Police"  /  Scott Underwood - "Train"   /   Carter Beauford – “Dave Mathews Band"

Travis Barker - "Blink182"  / Zachary Wayne Farro - "Paramore"  /  Stanton Moore  /  Ralph Rolle  &  Steve Gadd
